Taylor Morgan is the Audience Services/Marketing Coordinator for Gulfshore Playhouse.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been counting down to Christmas since December 26th of last year and now it has finally arrived. The presents are wrapped, trees are decorated, and again, if you are like me, travel plans are in motion. Although I am thrilled to be returning to Alabama (which is slightly less hot than Florida right now) to see friends and family, I can’t help but feel sad to leave Naples. I realized today as Kristen hugged me goodbye and wished me a smiley “Merry Christmas” that I am leaving a family here in Naples too. A family that is made up of artists, designers, actors, theatre professionals, and patrons that love and care so deeply for Gulfshore Playhouse. It’s a special bond that all grows from a love of story-telling, relationships, and the longing to experience different walks of life never ceases to amaze me.
Realizing this made me think more and more about the families we create for ourselves and the relationships we cultivate every day. Those relationships and stories are the very foundation of theatre and why we do what we do here at Gulfshore Playhouse.
So during this special time of year, take a moment to think of the families you’ve created and cherish your time with them. Remember the stories you’re making now. I can promise you, I will be thinking of you all during this joyous time. Thank you for joining our family.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Taylor Morgan
