Eyes on the Future

Here at Gulfshore Playhouse, our eyes are on the future, in a variety of ways.  First, we are so grateful that William Boyajian, of Port Royal Jewelers, has so generously offered to custom design a gorgeous ring that we will be auctioning off at our gala on March 26th. Mr. Boyajian is creating a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind, original piece of jewelry, “Eye to the Future,” to commemorate this special occasion as we unveil design plans
for our new theatre in downtown Naples. This stunning ring will be a beautiful keepsake and reminder of this exciting time in our history.

The Board and Staff have spent the past several weeks focused on strategic planning, and transition planning, as well as meetings with our Architectural Firm, H3/Arquitectonica, designing our new theatre and education center, and let me tell you, our eyes are firmly on the future in these discussions as we bring what was only in our imaginations into reality, and give form to our vision.  The renderings of the new Gulfshore Playhouse will be unveiled at the Gala as well!

SHINDLE (1)

Kate Shindle

Speaking of the gala, we have two extraordinary women lined up to sing for us: Kate Shindle and Kissy Simmons. An actress, singer, and dancer, Kate Shindle first became known to the world as Miss America in 1998.
With Broadway credits including Cabaret, Legally Blonde, and Jekyll and Hyde, she recently starred in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical, Fun Home.  A Florida native who first debuted on the professional theatre stage at the David A. Straz, Jr Center for the Performing Arts, Kissy Simmons is the acclaimed actress of the Tony Award-winning Lion King on Broadway. She starred as Nala on both the Broadway stage and the national tour.

This will be a gala you won’t want to miss.  Great food, fun, and future…all at the beautiful Ritz on the Beach.
